Valencia is the third largest city in Spain, located on the Eastern part of the country with a large extension of beaches on the Mediterranean Sea.
Weather conditions are fairly mild, with few cold and rainy days (http://www.aemet.es/en/eltiempo/prediccion/localidades/valencia-46001). The light and its brightness are also remarkable features of the city.
The privileged location of the city facilitates easy access to main world cities with a large number of airlines companies operating from Valencia Airport (http://www.aena.es). The airport is about 8 km from the city centre, and is connected by taxi, tube (lines 3 –red line- and 5 –green line-) or bus (AERO-BUS). The cost of a taxi ride from the airport to the city centre (and viceversa) costs about 20 euros (including the extra fee for service from the airport).
The city has an excellent public transportation system, including bus (http://www.emtvalencia.es), underground and tram (http://www.metrovalencia.com) and short-distance train (http://www.renfe.es). The city is also noteworthy by its March festival (LAS FALLAS), by the amazing CITY OF THE SCIENCE AND ARTS, by the lively green area on the former RIVER TURIA river bank, as well as by the beauty at daytime and lively at night time OLD TOWN.
To name a few among its worth visiting historic monuments: the Llotja de la Seda; the Cathedral; the Basilica of the Virgin; the Quart and Serrano towers; the Central Market; and the railway train station…
